Aura Underwriting is Lloyd’s leading Caribbean property Coverholder, focussing on providing professional (re)insurance solutions for the placement of niche, high quality risks throughout the Caribbean region. The Aura team have worked in the Caribbean insurance market (both locally and in Lloyd’s) for over several decades. We’ve established successful careers, merging our regional expertise and relationships, with the capabilities and technical knowledge of our international markets.

WHAT WE DO

We are the central Hub for Caribbean risk placements into Lloyd’s of a certain size and nature, taking the workload and strain off brokers, while creating a fishing net for quality business for our markets, and lessoning their resource and expertise requirements for this region.

Our underwriting team writes property & casualty (re)insurance business located In the Caribbean Islands (see our “regions” page). Our appetite includes small to medium sized accounts ($1m to $100m TSI) covering full catastrophe cover, with our main focus being condominiums and light commercial risks with limited to no BI exposure (i.e. office buildings). More importantly: we target the top tier quality risks, with proven superior loss ratios being the core of our business. We aim to compensate our selective approach by offering competitive and bespoke ratings.
